What Our Patients Say: Stories of Hope and Recovery
Hear directly from those who have walked the path to recovery. Our patients’ stories highlight the compassionate care, effective programs, and life-changing support they’ve experienced. Let their journeys inspire you as you take your first steps toward healing.

What made the difference for me was how much they focused on the why behind my addiction. They helped me work through my anxiety and depression in a way no other program had before. The groups were supportive, the staff was compassionate, and I never once felt judged.
Today, I’m living a life I never thought possible, and I owe so much of that to Tulip Hill. If you’re scared or unsure about treatment, just know this place can change your life the way it changed mine.

What sets Tulip Hill apart is their holistic approach, addressing not only the physical aspects of addiction but also the emotional, mental, and relational components. The programs are thoughtfully designed, evidence-based, and tailored to meet each person’s unique needs. The facility itself is welcoming and provides a peaceful setting that supports healing and growth.
For anyone seeking quality alcohol and drug rehabilitation services in Middle Tennessee, I highly recommend Tulip Hill Healthcare. Their professionalism, compassion, and dedication make a difficult process feel supported and hopeful.
I’ve observed how their groups blend evidence-based practices with real-world application. Clients are not only educated about addiction and mental health but are also equipped with tools that can be used beyond treatment. Their staff works hard to create an environment where accountability and hope coexist—something that is essential for sustainable recovery.
Tulip Hill is also strong in continuity of care. They prioritize aftercare planning and ensure clients leave with structured support and resources, which is often the difference between short-term sobriety and long-term recovery.
In my experience, Tulip Hill Healthcare is a trusted partner in this work. I have no hesitation recommending them to clients and families seeking a program that is both clinically sound and deeply human in its approach.
The treatment programs are comprehensive and evidence-based, offering a perfect blend of one-on-one therapy, group counseling, and holistic services like mindfulness. What stood out most was how individualized the care was. The environment is clean, peaceful, and designed to help clients feel safe and supported.
If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, I wholeheartedly recommend Tulip Hill Healthcre. They don’t just help you get sober — they help you rebuild your life.

The level of individualized attention and support is unmatched. They take the time to really understand each person’s needs and tailor care accordingly, whether it’s for mental health, addiction recovery, or dual diagnosis treatment. The environment is clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed to promote healing and personal growth.
What really sets Tulip Hill apart is their dedication to holistic wellness — they don’t just treat symptoms, they help people rebuild their lives. The therapists and counselors are incredibly skilled, compassionate, and invested in their patients' success. You can tell they care deeply.
If you’re looking for a place that treats you with dignity, encourages transformation, and supports your healing journey every step of the way, I can’t recommend Tulip Hill Healthcare enough. They truly change lives.

Understanding the Drug Crisis in Nashville
Understanding the Drug Crisis in Nashville
Addiction is not just a national issue – it’s a local emergency in Nashville, in Davidson County, and across the state of Tennessee.
National and Statewide Stats:
- According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there were over 80,000 drug overdose deaths in the U.S. in 2024, largely driven by synthetic opioids like fentanyl.
- Tennessee recorded 2565 overdose deaths in 2024.
- In the last 20 years, alcohol-related deaths have nearly doubled in America.
- Between 2019 and 2023, drunk driving fatalities in Tennessee increased by 36%.
Local Impact in Davidson County:
- In 2022, the Nashville metro had the second-highest rate of overdose deaths in the country.
- Every year, the Nashville Fire Department and other Emergency Medical Services respond to roughly 7000 suspected overdoses.
- Since 2023, fentanyl has been the leading contributor to the overdose crisis in Davidson County, linked to approximately 75% of drug fatalities. Cocaine and methamphetamine were also significant factors – in 2023, they were involved in 43% and 29% of drug poisonings, respectively.
There is good news, however – in 2024, overdose deaths were down in America, including here in Tennessee. This shows that prevention and treatment efforts do work and they do save lives.
If you or your family have been impacted by the disease of addiction, you’re not alone – Live Again Detox is here to help you heal, close to home.

Why Start With Professional Detox?
Detoxing from substances like alcohol, opioids, benzos, or meth can be dangerous and distressing without clinical help. At Live Again Detox, we provide:
- 24/7 medical monitoring
- Withdrawal symptom management
- Comfort medications when needed
- Mental health and emotional support
- Nutritional, physical, and psychological stabilization
Safe detox is the foundation of lifelong sobriety. It’s not enough to simply stop using – you need to heal your body and mind with professional guidance. Only after your body is free of drugs and alcohol can your mind be clear enough to receive the messages of recovery.
Drug and Alcohol Detox Explained
Before lasting recovery can begin, the body must be cleared of harmful substances. This first step – known as detoxification, or detox – is the foundation of effective addiction treatment. At Live Again Detox in Nashville, we offer a range of detox services designed to meet your unique medical, emotional, and personal needs in a safe and supportive environment.
Detox allows your body to begin healing from substance use while reducing or eliminating the intense withdrawal symptoms that typically accompany early sobriety.
Attempting to detox at home is rarely safe or successful. Our professional detox services ensure that you’re not only comfortable but also medically-protected throughout the process.
Here are the three main types of detox we provide, each offering different levels of care and intensity:
Standard Detox
Standard detox is suitable for anyone with mild-to-moderate withdrawal symptoms and no significant health risks.
- 24/7 supervision by trained clinical staff
- Regular monitoring of vital signs and emotional well-being
- Nutritional support and hydration
- Access to licensed counselors and support staff
If you have mild physical dependency, standard detox may be used to taper you off substances under clinical guidance. It’s a structured, emotionally-supportive environment that ensures you are stable and ready to transition to further treatment without medical complications.
Medically-Monitored Detox
Medically-monitored detox is ideal for anyone dealing with more severe withdrawal symptoms, particularly for those detoxing from substances like:
- Alcohol
- Opioids (such as heroin, fentanyl, or prescription painkillers)
- Benzodiazepines (like Xanax or Ativan)
In these cases, withdrawal can lead to serious symptoms like seizures, hallucinations, blood pressure spikes, or severe anxiety. Trying to quit alcohol or benzodiazepines “cold turkey” without medical supervision can even be fatal.
Our medical team provides:
- 24/7 monitoring by licensed nurses and physicians
- Use of FDA-approved medications to ease withdrawal symptoms
- Immediate intervention for any health concerns
- Psychiatric support if co-occurring disorders are present
This level of detox maximizes safety, minimizes discomfort, and lays the groundwork for a smooth transition into residential or outpatient treatment.
Rapid Detox
Used primarily for someone struggling with severe opioid addiction, rapid detox is a faster-paced option that accelerates the body’s elimination of drugs while minimizing withdrawal symptoms.
This form of detox involves the administration of medications that block opioid receptors or initiate immediate withdrawal under close medical supervision.
At Live Again Detox, our version of rapid detox is:
- Conducted under continuous clinical supervision
- Designed to shorten the acute detox timeline while ensuring safety
- Paired with supportive medications to reduce discomfort
- Followed by therapeutic engagement as soon as the client is stable
Rapid detox may be recommended for clients who have built a high tolerance or have been through previous detox attempts. It’s a strategic option for those needing a more efficient process without sacrificing medical oversight or personal care.
No matter which approach is best for you, our admissions team performs a full assessment to determine the safest and most effective detox plan for your needs.
With a full continuum of care on-site, Live Again Detox ensures that once your body is stabilized, your healing journey continues seamlessly, with no need to transfer to another facility.

Real Testimonials from Live Again Detox Clients
Hear directly from those who have walked the path to recovery at Live Again Detox. Our patients’ stories highlight the compassionate care, effective programs, and life-changing support they’ve experienced. Let their journeys inspire you as you take your first steps toward healing.
I’m currently 16 months sober, and I owe so much of that to the team at Live Again Detox. This wasn’t my first rodeo, or even my second, but more along the lines of “oh, we doing this again?” I’ve been to some really terrible places in my recovery journey over the last 17 years, but Live Again ranks among the best. From day one, I was treated with care and compassion and I could tell that the clinicians, nurses, and recovery team really cared. They handled me with care and dignity, helping me to feel seen and heard for the first time in a long time.
The catering was top-notch and there were groceries runs about 1x week.
The bedrooms provided were spacious and clean (and there’s even a tv provided!)
The communal areas were always kept well stocked with snacks and drinks. The living room area had video game consoles as well as a large selection of novels to choose from, should you feel so inclined.
There was ample opportunities to attend in-house recovery meetings, such as AA.
There are counselors on site to visit with as needed.
Live Again truly helped me to set a solid foundation for recovery, and I have recommended them several times since I left their care. If you are in need for specialized SUD care, I highly recommend these guys!
Thank you, care team for making me feel like a person again.
Love and gratitude to Matt for greeting me the first night and for being so kind during check in and every night that I saw him after that (thanks for the Earl Grey tea Matt 😊), Chelsea and Leigh Anne for their group work- they both have an incredible way of sharing things they have learned that really help you heal from within and you start wanting just to soak up all of their knowledge 💜, Nurse Kelly (night shift) and Nurse Chris (days) give the best hugs and uplifting advice especially since I am a nurse and they particularly focused on not allowing me to focus on shame and guilt, but on my accomplishments and what I have to look forward to moving forward- they treated me with complete respect (love you both 🤗) All of the nurses were caring and just amazing- Stacy, Sheila, Marlene, Patricia, Kelly on day shift. Additional shout outs to my therapist Chris….. he helped me work through so many things and gave me great coping skills to use at LAD and to take with me (can’t thank you enough), Nick for morning meditations and great insight and also all of his spunk, Josue for some very interesting, informative, and inspiring conversations on Sundays, Chris (night tech) for is humor and late night conversations when some of us couldn’t sleep, and Luke for his peaceful nature.
If you need help, please call LAD! It’s a small group of people, 12 at max capacity, super caring and attentive staff, great food and soooo many snacks/drinks available 24/7, lovely facility.
Highly recommended
Candidly, I’ve completed several other programs at other facilities- this place does things differently, and in a good way. Every member of the staff genuinely cares about your well-being, and GENUINELY is willing to lend an ear when you need one: 24/7.
They also allow vaping (often demonized in other treatment facilities). Basically, to sum it up, everyone there prioritizes recovery- and encourages you and shows you what that can look like, even if that is something you can’t fathom for yourself…until you do.
Many thanks to everyone there on staff and fellow patients- would name names but uh, that whole anonymity thing.
Just know if you or a loved one were a “frequent-flier”, as I was, you can be one and done with this facility.
Once I began MAT with Suboxone, five years passed, and I never thought I would be free from that tether. Leaving there today, I’m done with them. It wasn’t horrific, nursing staff always made sure I was comfortable.
If you’ve gotten this far in the review you likely were going through all of the different websites and options, calling and wondering whether the facility ACTUALLY lived up to the website (as they often don’t)- save yourself some time and just call these peeps. Much love and respect ❤️
